archiving

For a long time I have been very interested in archiving. The Internet Archive is undoubtedly my most visited website and while attending georgia tech, I was an avid listener of Lost In The Stacks, a radio show run by a group of librarians. I remember one time they had Ian MacKaye on as a special guest and hardly asked him a single question about his music, just about the extensive archive he keeps of every live show he has ever played.

I hope to become a prolific archiver someday. For now I run a youtube channel XmasontheindiepopslayerX archiving obscure indie pop, twee pop and indietronica where I regularly upload a new video every Thursday at 2pm (approximately the time when I discovered one of my favorite bands browsing bandcamp during study hall in high school, the perfect time to discover some fun indiepop). The channel name is a nod to the former name of my favoritescreamo archiving channel.
