A project for my Laptop Orchestra class in Spring 2019. The Parachute was an instrument, ritualistic performance, and game meant to bring back the joyful memories of childhood play and sonify them in a cloud of computer generated noises. Accelerometers were attached to a parachute to track its motion which was used to control a generative Pure Data patch while the 18 performers of the piece were guided in their motions by the gestures of three directors.
